After a fantastic 3 years learning the trade on the BDO circuit, I made the decision to enter the PDC qualifying school this year. I was offered a tour card last year but turned it down as I did not feel ready and to a certain degree it didnt feel right to take the tour card without earning it through Q school. If I was to take the step then I didnt want an easy ride and I didnt get one!! Thursdays and fridays qs were a wake up call and although playing well I didnt really get into gear. Saturday was different and Im proud to announce that I am now in posession of a PDC tour card. I have good people around me, I have financial backing both from sponsors and from my own earnings on the BDO circuit so the foundations are in place to acheive the initial goal of competing in every players champonship this year. If my form holds then there is an excellent chance of reaching the next goal which is the PDC World Championships. I am looking forward to meeting new players and officials plus experiencing new venues and atmospheres. I have proved myself on both BDO and PDC stages already so I am not daunted by the future at all.
